TEXANS PASS PROPOSITION TO BAN GAY MARRIAGE
AUSTIN - Last night, voters overwhelming passed a constitutional
amendment that ensures that marriage in Texas is only between a man and a woman.
The amendment also prohibits state and local governments from recognizing any
legal relationship created outside of Texas, such as a civil union.

AUSTIN - Rep. Harvey Hilderbran (R-Kerrville) has signed on as a joint
author to a proposal that would prohibit local governments from seizing homes
and businesses against the owner's will for economic development.

AUSTIN - Rep. Harvey Hilderbran (R-Kerrville) filed legislation last
week that would prohibit real property from being reappraised more than once
every two years, effectively reducing the appraisal cap to less than 5 percent
a year.

Hunting June
27, 2005 HB 2026
AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry has signed into law a bill that immediately outlaws
Internet hunting. The ban came in the form of an amendment to HB 2026 by Rep.
Harvey Hilderbran (R-Kerrville), which began as a catch-all bill to address
outdoor- and wildlife-related issues.
